This post is not of a scarpping nature but its a craft. Lately I am finding i am crocheting a heck of a lot. I have knitted since i was 5 but only learnt to follow a crochet pattern lst year...now ther is NO stopping me LOL. But ....before I learned about scrapping I used to take a jewellery making class once a week. I LOVED IT...made lots of unique pieces...always lots of BLING.
So last night I though I would have a play with some of the hundreds (Maybe THOUSANDS) of things I have here and made some bracelets. Mostly with an animal type theme as I am thinking of donating them to a animal rescue group for them to auction off.
Anyway ,......here they are......
I think I am a little addicted to the lucite flowers!!! As ALWAYS there are some nice Swarovski crystals too.
So next time I might share some of my crochet with you LOL.
Until then....heres hoping you have lots of creative time..

A Special Canvas for LINDA
Tonight we went to tea at our local to celebrate the birthday of a friend. We met 10 years ago when our children started Pre Primary together. I decided to MAKE her a gift this year so a canvas sprung to mind..
Being mindlful of what she likes and doesnt like and after much searching and advising from 2 HIGHLY talented scrappy friends I set to.
Her favourite colour is blue so i painted the 10 x 10 canvas...
Then searched my chip board stash for little bits and pieces. I have glimemrs misted and glimmer galmmed in so many colours I can even tell you..all until I got what I wanted.
I ran a few pieces of the chipboard through an embossing folder to give some more texture. Cut out some flowers from Tim Holtz grunge for one corrner and made a nice floral piece for the other.
Finished off with some German Scrap and a couple of Prima corners..here it is.
I took the pics quickly on my phone qand some pieces are still drying so please excuse the quality but you get to see what I managed to create.
Having just got back from tea I can tell you she loved it and I will be doing a lot more of them in the future.
Thankyou for looking and wishing you all a wonderful and creative week..

Down Time
Being the mUm of 2 girls and a bit GIRLY myslef I tend to only ever do GIRLY style lay outs. Even if hubby is in the pic its usually with one of us so I am not used to doing masculine layouts. SOOOO..what a challenge it was when I ws given some of the new Kaiser Sears & Sons papers for my DT...BOY (Pardon the punn) did I enjoy it.
On our recent trip to Melbourne we caught up with some friends who have moved there to live. We all went to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) and watched OUR Perth team play in the AFL....it was a great game. Just what hubby needed was soome "Down Time".
I have used LOTS of Tim products on this page....the cogs are cut out of his On The Edge Cogs Die, I usd my metallic dauber in both gold and silver to paint them. The little silver piece up the top is a bit of card that I have cut a piece out of and run through my Tim Holtz Patchwork Emboss folder, just the clock section at the bottom, and then again my metallic silver dauber to paint it. I LOOOOOVV VEE my Handmade Halo charms..they were just soooo perfect for this layout. I also used the silver to change the look of the brown thickers.
Think I will have to do another all boy lay out really soon.
Thankyou for looking...

Time FLYS
Time Flys...it sure is flying really REALLY fast. Things have been really really crazy here.. I was very unwell for weeks with something that still remains a mystery. I went overseas (only just) for a much needed holiday and next week I am flying to the other side of Australia to do a very special class with TIM HOLTZ.. I am soooo lucky to be going along with a friend of mine that owns a shop as this is a retailer event.
I have had very very little time for scrapping and if I have scrapped taking pics ..well..I just haven't gotten around to it.
I hope that all of you have been creative and enjoying some MOJO.
I hope yo be back in a couple of days to share some creations with you
Lots of Love

Mothers Day TREASURE Chest
So as lovely as the box was I wanted to add a few touches to it for my Mum
So i started by painting with a crackle paint in vintage photo and added some luminarte gold paint over that. Didn't like the the way it looked so i sprayed some glimmer mist over and over to get my desired colour! Cut a layer of flowers from my Donna Salazar die set. The one on the top i added a gorgeous brass charm to the middle of the flower. A BIG dragon fly charm as my Mum is a HUGE dragonfly fan....A little doily and a piece of Prima bling which i cut into pieces...
Nanna on one side and Mum on the other. When I had finished it I was REALLY happy with the result.
MUM LOVED it...
THANKYOU for popping over....I have a canvas that I made for My Mother In Law..HOPEFULLY tomorrow I will get time to post pics..very happy with that one too :)

Friends
Had a bit of a chance lately to play a little in my scrap area !!!! The other night i did a LO of our youngest and one of her closest friends.
I used Glitz paper...Mulberry flowers fro Handmade Halo and a few other little Halo bits and Pieces too
A gorgeous rub on quote from Kaiser just completed this lay out perfectly.
I have a couple of more layouts to upload but seeing as how my computer crashed a few weeks ago I need to figure out how to edit photos on this computer before I upload any more

Creative AT LAST
SOOOOO..I have finally found time to start creating.....Last week I made this canvas and I LOVE IT!!
I reveresed..Painted it in pearl white and then used an ink to add colour to match the paper range (Kaisercrafts new Charlottes Dream). I used the paper that has a beautifl damask finish on it as my background piece which I plaved inside the frame. I then cut out a "window" in the die cuts sheet and placed avetate in that to make a "window"....
I have used lots of Handmade Halo resin pieces and some of the gorgeous new Gardenias ( I just love all the colours in these)...
Have a look
I am wrapped with the finished product..Now I have a slightly smaller one that I need to complete for daughte number 2!!
