Sweet Girls

This layout is of our gorgeous girls.  A few months ago we went away with a group of friends. We were lucky enough to visit a property of over 300 acres. Almost 5 under garden
and the lady of the house does all the gardening herself. LUCKY for me I had my camera on me and took some stunning pics of us all.

This is a simple layout BUT I am happy with the way it turned out. Dusty flower made into a lovely layered flower and some of the dusty hinges. Painted with pickets fence and brushed with just a little rub n buff :)

My Canvas

SOOO at last I have had time to take pics of what I did on Saturday at my crop :)

I have told you before how much I love making canvas''s soooo I thought firstly I would share one with you. This one came about after I used a template and texture paste on plain bazil. I sprayed it with Heidi Swapp colour shine Tinsel and Amethyst and it was just tooo lovely for a background.

I layered the text really high on one end. I love the effect...let me know what you think

I have a few more layouts and another canvas (or 2) to share so be sure to pop back :)

FOUR Layouts

Hi everyone.  Its a cold wet windy day here in Perth.  Some places have even had such bad storms they have terrible damage :(

We are lucky here we are just water logged.

I went to a 12 hour crop yesterday.  I got 4 layouts completed and OF COURSE a couple of  canvas's.

It a but dark and dreary today to take pics but as soon as I can I will up load them for you all to see :)

Until then, take care.

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Like the title says I have been  BUSY BUSY BUSY.  2 months ago I re joined the workforce after running our business for 11 years.  That was a big challenge!! THEN I got a nasty ear infection that lasted over a month and I am still having issues with it now.  All this has meant I haven't been very creative.
Sometimes its just plain HARD. I have 2 children LOTS of fur babies and a very supportive hubby but it still all gets a bit overwhelming at times.
All that makes creating very very HARD!!! BUTTT...I have been feeling like scrapping again. My love for creating canvas's is clearly still there,  I have made 4 recently.
I need to take lots of pics today and put them all on here so you can see what I have been making.
Until then I wanted to share a little something I just found.
I think sometimes I get overwhelmed in my scrapping because I compare my stuff to others, think I am not as good. Scrapping IS a personal thing. It is about recording my memories in an artistic way.
So take a look at this lovely saying and NEVER let anyone take away your sparkle. We all shine in our own way.

Another Mood Board

If you read my post from yesterday you would know I did a Mood Board Challenge from Sassy Scarppers over the weekend.  I also completed a Mood Board Challenge that is being run by
http://jotmagazine.com/now-running-mood-board-challenge-6/

here is the mood board we had to work with

I remembered I had a lovely pic of our youngest taken at her recent birthday where she turned 13 and she had a lovely mint coloured cardigan on...so that was the pic I scrapped.

That purple paper is AMAAAZZING..its a resist paper that I sprayed with some mists to get the colours!!.. I made some fabric flowers out of purple satin, a bit of tuelle , a beautiful Dusty Attic floral scroll that I used Perfect Pearls on ( don't you just love the effect!!) and a few, well quite a few, sequins on the page :)

I love it

Too Long

Its been toooo long since I last posted.  my crochet has been keeping me busy, which I love, and work has kept me busy too .

I went to a 12hour crop at my LSS yesterday and got a little creative. I needed a bit of inspiration so I took up a Mood Board challenge that is being run over at Sassy Scrapper at the moment.

Check it out here http://sassyscrappers1.blogspot.com.au/2013/07/july-monthly-challengemood-board.html?spref=fb

I decided to do a pic of our eldest.

I love this pic of her.

I cut some flowers using my TIM HOLTZ 3D flower die, from material. I also cut some leaves from BALSA wood and Tim Holts on the edge die from balsa wood too.  I am just loving the depth you can get using balsa wood.

I LOOVE the cluster of flowers.

Hope you like this one. I am pretty wrapped in it.  I have another to share from yesterday but its getting late so I shall share tomorrow .

NEW Sticky paper at Sawyers Place

WELL....I will say it again MY POOR BLOG!!!  Life has bee a little busy and just a little trying of late. I joined the workforce after many MANY  years as a full time Mum. Quite a shock to my system and I am still trying to work out my time management.  I have lots of orders for my crochet goods and all in all my poor scrapping has been left. To be total y honest I haven't really felt like scrapping and even thought of selling off all my scrapping stuff...BUTTTT ...I now feel like I want to scrap again and have sooo many ideas in my head, even if most of them are OTP projects.

That is what I want to share today and OTP project.  A few weeks ago I bought a little gift box from a shop I think it cost me $4.00 and yes it was lovely like it was BUT......the other day I got my new DT pack from SAWYERS PLACE and I just KNEW it was to transform this box.

So I started by giving the box a REALLY good coat of Gesso to hide the picture that was on the box

So now its just a matter of cutting the sticky paper to fit EASYYYYYY.....

I added so much to the lid and I still don't know if I am finished.

Laces on the side of the lid painted sides to the box and its finished.

I don't know that I will part with it....but if I do I think it will make a WONDERFUL gift box for someone special.

Till next time ...enjoy every moment and I hope you get some time to create.

MY POOOOOR BLOG

Hi everyone. MY POOOOORRR Blog it has been soooo neglected, this thing called life seems to have gotten in the way.

I have had a few things going on.  I went back to the workforce for the first time in over 6 years. So far I am enjoying that.

For a long time I have wanted to sell some of my other hand crafts online so FINALLY  ( with a little push and lots of help from some friends) I started up selling my crochet and knitting creations. It was Autumn when I started and things were slow but now winter has begun I need more fingers and I AM Loving it.

So I am sad to say my scrapping has been as neglected as my blog, which is a shame as I have so many wonderful new pictures to scrap BUT SOON.

In the mean time I thought I would share some of my crochet goodies with you.

So for now let me just leave you with this that I recently read

BE GREATFUL FOR THE GIFT THAT WAS GIVEN TO YOU AND LIVE EVERYDAY WITH PASSION

Cartwheels

This pic is over a year old but the Kaiser Bundle of Joy range papers were sooo beautiful and blue I had to scrap a blue photo. THEN when I got my new tape from Sawyers Place it all fell into place.

I used 2 piece of the stork paper on thee reverse side.  I distressed both pieces and then layered them.

Some Heidi Swap words  were PERFECT for this page.

Can you see the new flair buttons from Sawyers Place as well?? I am loving all the flair buttons :)  The Cromwell tape is like a Dymo tape so I cut out the words I thought suited my layout .

Little bit of misting and here it is

My Girls

Today ANOTHER of the photos taken by the very talented Angie Delarie but this time its of our STUNNING girls (ok slight bias there).

A bit of distressing, some lace that I sprayed with Perfect Pearls mist, some die cutting and a chippy word.  I inked and then putt Utee on the top.  The little flag like die cut is embossed and then I rubbed some metallic wax over it..Simple but just enough to make it pop. A couple of Metal embells that I painted and a Prima Vine.

Love my 2 girls and LOVE how this layout has turned out.

Thank you for stopping by ..Hope you have time to be creative

Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

Been a while since I have done a blog post :(

I have been sooo busy....I breed Ragdoll and Persian cats and have a few litters on the ground at the moment. Busy making sure they are wonderful healthy babies.

I have been crocheting lots of baby hats and gave some to a lady who does photography. and that got me thinking. we have NEVER had professional photos done as a family so I booked in a few weeks ago.

The photos are beautiful, especially of our girls, and I got them back on the day I was doing a twelve hour crop SOOOO had to scrap a couple.

This first one if of hubby and I and really the chipboard title sparked the whole lay out.

I painted it with Lumiere paints ..then used Stayzon to ink a design over it and then....swiped Tim Holtz rusty hinge over it.  The photos DO NOT do it justice.  I just LOVE how it turned out. It looks sooo antique.

I made some yummy fabric flowers. There are some Artisan by Pink Paislee embels. A flair button from Sawyers Place.

I love this pic of the 2 of us ..Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

I have a few more to share over the next fed days to catch up on all that I have been doing, so pop in and check them out.

Thankyou for stopping by.

LOVE THIS

On the weekend I attended my FIRST EVER scrapbooking retreat.  I had a great time..Cant say I was very productive.  I am afraid I took way tooooo much stuff and it took me too long top find thing every time I needed something.

I wanted to scrap this pic of hubby and myslef.

I used the reverse side of a piece from the Authentique range LOVELY and the paper was called "Amour".  I used some texture past to make a wonderful scroll in the left corner.  I added glimmer mists to that to get the right effect.

I cut out a banner using the wonderful washi tape GOLD SCRIPT..here is the link to this product

http://sawyersplace.bigcartel.com/product/gold-script-washi-tape-japanese-masking-tape-15mm-x-10m

I MADE some flowers with material that was very kindly given to me and I have to tell you I am addicted to making these at the moment!!!

Cut out the words LOVE THIS from my Cromwell Washi tape  http://sawyersplace.bigcartel.com/product/cromwell-black-text-japanese-masking-smash-tissue-tape-10mm-x-10m and I have to say I just love that little piece on my page.

A few charms and here you go

I have a few more Lay outs I want to share with you so I need to get taking pics and adding to my blog.
