A NEW BLOG STYLE and AN OTP PROJECT

WELL....welcome to my new style blog.. Its had a little makeover THANKS to the lovely MARCIA :)

SOOOO I want to share with you an BRAND new KAISERCRAFT Off the Page piece that I did for my DT at SCRAPBOOKS FROM THE HEART.

As soon as I saw this I KNEW i wanted the heart to be a shaker box ..I wasnt really sure what to with the rest.

I used texture paste to get the WONDERFUL texture onthe side..Painted it then wahed it with another caolour and then put a metallic wax all over it..I Could not be any happier with the effect this has given.

 

 

 

The Heart is a collections heart...I covered it in Calico..stamped the saying onto the calico and then coverd that in cheese cloth.

 

Then set that inside the heart ..used acetate as the frame. Seed beads to make it the shaker box and...there you have it. I LOVE IT...infact might even make another.

A kind of Beautiful

Today I want to share with you a special canvas I made for a special friend of mine.....

She always Jokes about Beauty so I had to go looking for just the right Phrase to use on it.  With the help of another friend we found the phrase BE YOUR OWN KIND OF BEAUTIFUL .

I took a plain Canvas and with a bit of texture paste and a Maya Road template I created a textured background.

Some antique white paint, then a metallic pink that I washed over it to collect in the the texture.  I then sprayed some mists over the top to get the right colour.

I decided it needed a heart and wings.  So I covered the Heart with calico and thn cheesecloth.  I sprayed sooo many mists over it to get the colour i wanted.  I embossed the wings and again a Metallic pain in a pink colour.  PINK is her favourite colour. 

I printed the phrase straight onto calico which i placed on some card with some wadding behind it.

Gave it to my friend yesterday and she LOVED it......:)

A BOY LAYOUT

It is not very often I get to do a BOY layout...probably as we only have 2 girls...but when I got my last DT kit from SAWYERS PLACE..I knew it has to be a boys layout.  Luckily I had some photos  of my friend's son that were just perfect to use with the products in my kit.

 

 

 

SO I took a sheet of white cardstock.  Sampson Locked In (Chainlink Fence) Sticky Paper - A4 Self-Adhesive Patterned Paper  as the baking sheet.  Rourke's Rounds in the Caution design, Black & Yellow Caution washi tape, Off Road Tyre Tread Washi Tape.  A bit of Black Soot ink to make the page "DIRTY" and there you have it.

 

What do you think.  I am pretty pleased with it.  Now to use my more Girly DT kit from Sawyers.

SO MUCH CREATING

I have been doing sooo much creating lately that I have forgotten to take pics.


But here is a little project I started on AGES ago BUT I just needed the RIGHT things to finish her off

 

This is how she started off

 

I decided she need a nice doily dress

 

 

 

I thought a lcae bodice looked good.  I used Nougat Glimmer mist to change the colour and then some mulberry flowers that I cahnged the colour off too.

 

This is how she sat for months..then it came to me what she needed..see what you think







I am really really happy with her.

I have lots of other things to show you but I need to take pics with my camera and not on my phone like these weree..so stay tuned.

A Sneak Peak

So here we are at day 5 of the year and I have already made a few blog posts :)   Quite proud of that.

I have also had time to do a little creating.  Thought I would share a little sneak of something I was making last night. Its almost finished but its quite hot here again so will wait till it cools down a bit tonight to finish it

So on the second day of 2013 I have STILL not doen any creating BUTTTTTTTTTTT


I have moved a new cupbaord into my craft room and am busy sorting it out.... AS Soonas I am done I hope to find LOTS of time to get creative.

For today I will share the Pic I have taken for today.  Todays theme was NEW

This is a pic I just HAD To take..I went in the room and found them all in this pram!! 

They are my first 2 litters of Persian cats that I have ever bred and EVERYDAY I find something NEW to love about them :)

So back to sorting the craft space so hopefulyy soon I can share some creations with you

WELCOME 2013

I cant NOT believe its now 2013...Where did 2012 go????

It was a dam hard year for sooo many people and I am not dwelling on 2012 BUT very pleased that 2013 is now here.

I neglected my Blog sooo much but want to start being much kinder to it this year.

I have just joined a small group of ladies who ar trying to do a photo a day for 2013.

I have been working on a few scrap projects..infact thats what i did on New Years Eve , got creative.
